Experience overview

Hi there! Let's get to know each other better!

I hope the information presented here will serve as a good foundation for our next conversation. I have separated it into several blocks to showcase my experience through time, projects, teams, and challenges. I realize that I should be concise and not write too much, which may lead to clarification questions that I will be happy to answer. And don't forget to share your feedback. Cheers!

My career path in data engineering and data analysis began more than 10 years ago. These years have been filled with challenging tasks, "aha" moments, learning new technologies and techniques and discovering new ways to turn data into ideas and action plans. And I'm not going to stop. I'm absolutely sure that in the coming years, I will help companies and teams uncover hidden insights and explore new ways to achieve peak performance

Education & Work

What are key points?

Tools & Skills

Core - confident level, able to maintain current projects and easily start new ones

Supportive - decent level without deep diving into details

Advantage - can be considered as an opportunity to implement new approaches

Emerging - less confident but very promising

What are key points?

Achievements & Challenges

Conversion optimization framework

Developed a system that supports the marketing and development teams in making data-driven decisions to improve checkout forms, product pages, and category pages.

  • Design user segment-based calculations
  • Design and implement tracking tags via GTM
  • Create ETL process using Google Analytics and BigQuery
  • Develop dashboards to evaluate A/B test results in order to KPI

User experience improvement

Designed and implemented a GTM-based website and application user behavior tracking system to help the content and design teams make data-driven decisions regarding user content interaction to improve user experience, build trust, and loyalty.

  • Provided customer engagement reports using ADS DATAHUB and GA
  • Designed and implemented event tracking map architecture for GTM
  • Built BigQuery + DATAHUB user engagement datamarts
  • Developed dashboards to track KPIs in Looker and Power BI

Product launch performance

Responsible for performance tracking during the launch of a subscription-based product to provide insights to the product owner.

  • Design system of KPIs, necessary tracking metrics, and attribution model
  • Implement tracking code with JavaScript
  • Build cloud-based DWH to collect and analyze data from CRM and BigQuery
  • Develop data pipelines and automation using GCP functions
  • Develop dashboards to track KPIs in Looker and Power BI
What are key points?

Rebuild GCP-based DWH to ClickHouse

Due to sanction pressure in 2022, keeping the DWH based on Google services was highly risky due to the potential for service blocks.

To overcome this challenge, I initiated a transition project where I served as the leader. I developed an architectural solution that gradually replaced the current data pipelines with new ones based on ClickHouse. Together with team managers, we broke the project into small tasks and created a realistic timeline to achieve the project objectives.

Converting Excel Reports to Power BI

Updating time consumes days, report data often do not match, continuous Excel file errors occur due to data processing limits, and improving reports takes months. These are typical problems of reporting built on Excel.

To address these issues while maintaining current reporting, I began converting the more problematic reports to the Power BI ecosystem. This approach preserved existing reports, improved maintenance, and created opportunities for future reporting development.

Strengths And Weaknesses

From my point of view, talking about strengths and weaknesses is not representative. First, nobody wants to demonstrate weaknesses. Second, strengths can come across as showing off. Eventually, it can be misleading to understand what a person can bring to the company and what support they need to work efficiently. Therefore, I have replaced it with two characteristics that can be more informative:

Motivation

Here, I wanted to indicate what can make me even more efficient at work. These conditions help me spend more time on what really matters without distractions and allow me to stay focused and energetic during work hours.

Summary

Looking back at my experience and knowledge, I can confidently say that I possess strong abilities and skills that make me flexible enough to build entire analytical applications independently of the initial tool stack. My background in understanding user behavior, combined with my understanding of business needs, reveals the high potential hidden behind data. I can become a valuable part of your team and organization and contribute all my efforts to benefit the company if I am able to act self-sufficiently and be responsible for results. However, I count on you to help me with managing expectations and relationship management.
